On 31-07-2024, Wednesday, was the last day of my second phase teaching practice at CMG HSS, Poojappura. I was able to engage 9 C students during the 3rd hour. Since I got two extra hours at 9c on that day I continued with the post test related to my experimental study. Learners showed their seluctance to write the test as the question paper was same for both pre test and post test. However I made them agree, on the promise that there won't be any kind of wooks in the other two periods I engage I found that the spelling mistake of the learners had dedined and moreover their speed of writing has also increased. The teacher also noted that many students were able to write more number of words when compared to the pretest the teachu considered the as a positive change and it also directly indicates the success of the study. I was also much satisfied with the effort taken by Sabarna, though she is very weak in all LSRW skills. From my observation, I understood that Sabaina h

On 30-07-2024, Tuesday, 2nd hour I engaged 9 C students. I decided to conduct a remedial lesson for them. After the analysis of the diagnostic chart, I was able to underst and that though the leainers had an idea of continuous tense, they lack the idea of past continuous tense. Many students often confuse it with present continuous tense So I decided to use a game and an activity to re-teach the concept. I was Little nervous as the game requires one group to be sent outside I found the class very interesting, as the learners showed great enthusiasm. the group activity of making one group act and othe group guess the action and construct sentenus were really helpful as I found that the learners were able to relate to the tense more easily I realised that though the leainers showed a great interest in the activity it was not be cause they love to learn but only it being a game. I understood the importance of teaching children through games The second activity of discussing wi

On 29-07-2024, Monday, 3rd hour I engaged 8B students. We discussed the last two paragraphs from the story "A Shipwrecked Sailer". From the introductory session itself learners expressed their concern for Velasco. I realised that their interest to know the story is synonymous with their sympathy Howards the nauator Since this chapter was full of new words, the teacher decided to put a small dictation in which many students scored low. off tea providing theme necessary guideline and corrective measures the class began Learners found the new words quite difficult and the teachu promised to make small improvements with practice. Dwing the loud reading reading teacher realised that Vismaya had a very weak pronunciation skill and speaking. So the teacher made her read the paragraphs two times. In this class, teacher displayed her innovative bocud game to the children and the achivity was based on it. The excitement of the learners when they saw the game board was visib

On 27-07-2024, Saturday, the school had a normal working day with Tuesday's timetable During the second hour, I was able to engage IXC students. There were only 8 students out of 32. So I decided to engage the learners in a Language game. Since the vocabulary of the learners were very weak, the teacher divided them into two grays, and asked one group to guess the word and the other group had to give numerous hints to find the word. this game made the teacher baffled as I realised that almost 7 out of 8 studenta were not even able to recognise the words from the earlier chapter. But I realised they were able to recall a somewhat correct meaning of the words taken as 'Word of the Day which made the teacher happy and satisfied.

On 26-07-2024, Friday, 3rd period I engaged 8B studente and we were able to continue the lesson A Shipwrecked Sailor by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I was able to observe that the students of 8B were studious and sometimes they ever san before the teacher with the help of other guides to know the story. Moreover some studious students who had tuitions shout the upcoming story which many a times earlier had broken the learning experience and curiosity of other students. In this class also teacher sensed a similar kind of tendency and decided to prohibit any such movements from the learners. In the introductory session, teachir asked the learners to tell the name of their favourite character from the story and Yashodha said the names of Castello and Carabello upon which the teacher asked her to explain the reason. I was to hear her language as she exhibited a good deal of mastery over English. Since she belonged to Nepal, her command over English and dindi was quite appreciable. Teacher chose
