On 29-07-2024, Monday, 3rd hour I engaged 8B students. We discussed the last two paragraphs from the story "A Shipwrecked Sailer". From the introductory session itself learners expressed their concern for Velasco. I realised that their interest to know the story is synonymous with their sympathy Howards the nauator Since this chapter was full of new words, the teacher decided to put a small dictation in which many students scored low. off tea providing theme necessary guideline and corrective measures the class began Learners found the new words quite difficult and the teachu promised to make small improvements with practice. Dwing the loud reading reading teacher realised that Vismaya had a very weak pronunciation skill and speaking. So the teacher made her read the paragraphs two times. In this class, teacher displayed her innovative bocud game to the children and the achivity was based on it. The excitement of the learners when they saw the game board was visible. Many students enquired the teacher about the construction of the boaed game. they even appreciated me for the effort this really made me happy I realised that the introduction of such learning aids are welcomed even when the technology had made & great leap in the present world. I found ist bit difficult to handle the class when they played the game. But I always kept an eye and repeated all the edevant events and major points in the story when they reach that point in the board game Even- though I found it difficult to get back the board, as the learners were so much involved, overall the class went good

On 21/6 / 2024, Friday 3rd hour I was able to engage 8 B students. It was my first class in 8B and we began with  "The Boy who Drew Cats"  from the first unit. I never expected the learners to mention the name of folktale but to the surprise of the teacher they did. The introductory activity of drawing helped the learners to come out of the nightmares of Physics class with they had in the earlier period. Since I was completely new to them teacher promised them to learn their name gradually. When I asked the learners to point out the difficult words, Sheetal asked me about Alibaba and 41 thieves which the teacher mentioned in the introduction. This led another student asking about Vikramaditya and vedhalam.  The teacher was able to understand the duration of their concentration and the topics where there interest lie. A one-day college tour to Chitharal Jain Temple, Triparapp, Padmanabhapuram Palace and Kanyakumari was organised for the fourth semester B.Ed. students on 22 March 2024 and this document aims to provide a detailed overview of the experiences and observations during the exploration of various places we visited.  A total of 33 students were accompanied by 4 teachers including Dr. Kumar S (Asst. Professor Tamil Department), Dr. M.Omanasheelan (Associate Professor, English Department), Dr. Sreeja. I (Asst. Professor, Maths Department) and Dr. Chitralekha (Asst. Professor, Geography Department). We set out on the journey at 6: 40 am from the college and Manasi travels was the travel agency who assisted us for the same. CHIRANTHANA- DAY 1

  The community living camp of the academic year 2023-2024 began on February 12, 2024. The first session of our camp “Chiranthana” was held at the general hall 2 of GCTE, Thycaud. Al the students, teachers and the camp coordinators Ms. Asha Krishnan, Ms. Sreeja and Ms. Anju assembled for the first session titled “Earn while you Learn : Socially Useful Productive Work”. Under the leadership of the resource persons Sri. Ummer and Sri. Sukumaran, students prepared lotion and hand wash. We collected bottles for filling the lotion and by this act we tried to reuse the plastic bottles found in our surroundings, thus resonating the theme of sustainable development. We also made handmade labels for hand wash. Thus, the preparation of the socially useful productive activities in the community and to acquire the knowledge of the source of various raw materials and different tools and equipment used in the production of goods and services.
