PHASE 1 - DAY 29



On 04-12-2023, Monday, 2nd hour, I was able to engage 8c students. We continued our discussion on the chapter "The Merchant Venice". Since it is an extra reading chapter, the learners showed much interest. Move over, day by day, the interaction and bond between the teacher and the students inside and outside the classroom was improving and thus the transaction of the lesson was really simple. Introductory session was engaging, and the students showed much energy and they insisted the teacher to say the story in a nutshell, but the teacher kept it as a suspense. Since it was the election day, almost all students were present that day. Teacher reading went well. On this day, students resisted the teacher many times to stop the reading and to narrate the story. But the teacher after doing the teacher reading made the students read the passages as drill. In this class, teacher introduced another method of drilling since the word recognition ability of the students were comparatively low. Teacher randomly asked students to continue the reading when she says stop and start to some students. Word study was done mostly through demonstration, and this fascinated the learners. The class went good with the participation of students. Teacher was surprised to see the notebook of one student in which was written "Jessy Teacher's Version" for the notes I give. 

In the 5th hour, I had a session with IX A students. We discussed the chapter "The Trio". Students showed a kind of resentment to learn as it was the election day. Many students showed the assignment they had written. On this day reading drill became a bit longer. The teacher made maximum students read the passage and corrected their pronunciation. Comprehension was done effectively. After completing the lesson plan the teacher did an informal interaction with the learners about how to prepare for their upcoming examination. Overall, the class went good with the participation.
