തോടയം - College Arts Day 2023
The Onche college union organised Arts fest 2023 titled തോടയം on Feb 21 and 22. It started with a formal inaugural function. Mariya George (1st B.Ed student) made the stage sacred with her prayer. Asha Krishnan, Asst. Professor and the convenor of the cultural programs delivered the welcoms speech which was followed by the presidential address by the college principal, Dr. V. K. Santhosh Kumar sir. The chief guest of the day was Dr. Vinitha. V, lecturer in dance, Sree Swathi Thirunal Govt College of Music. She inaugurated the function and ignited us on the importance of arts and cultural events in our lives. Felicitations were given by Dr. Jayakrishna, Asst. Prof.of Hindi department and Revathy B.R, Vice Chairperson. Keerthana Anil, Arts Club secretary made the vote of thanks. Following this, the chief guest made a marvellous dance performance. A momento was given to her as a token of our love.
For the cultural and literary events the whole college was divided into 4 teams. Literary events were conducted earlier. The team names were as follows:
First B.Ed. - പഞ്ചാരി
Second B.Ed. - ചെമ്പട
First M.Ed. - ചമ്പ
Second M.Ed. - അടന്ത
ചമ്പ, അടന്ത, ചെമ്പട പഞ്ചാരി എന്നിവ കഥകളിയുടെ നാല് താളങ്ങൾ ആണ്.
Healthy yet challenging performances were presented by all students which made the competitions engaging and vibrant. On stage and off stage events were there. At the end of the second day First B.Ed students won the overall with 227 points beating second B.Ed students.
