Every year November 25 is celebrated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The students and teachers of GCTE witnesssed the inauguration of women's cell and celebrated this day by organising some programs in the Research room. This day marked the the launch of the UNiTE campaign (Nov 25- Dec 10) — an initiative of 16 days of activism concluding on the day that commemorates the International Human Rights Day (10 December). This campaign, led by the UN Secretary-General and UN Women since 2008, aims to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls around the world, calling for global action to increase awareness, promote advocacy and create opportunities for discussion on challenges and solutions. Going in an unpredictable way, this world cup drags the football lovers all over the world on the brink of suspense by offering breathtaking performances. Whole world is celebrating this world cup by organising various activities. As part of celebrating the world cup the Physical Education department of GCTE organised a Prediction C ontest on 25 November 2022 . All teaching and non teaching staffs, students of first and second year B.Ed actively participated in the contest. Participants were asked to predict the four semi finalist teams, two finalist teams and the winning team of Qatar 2022 World cup. Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, organized a Merit Day event on March 26, 2024, to celebrate academic achievements and recognize excellence among its students and faculty members. During this event, students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance were appreciated for their dedication and hard work. Additionally, teachers who attained a Ph.D. were acknowledged for their scholarly contributions and commitment to higher education.
