HUMAN RIGHTS OATH

Human Rights Day is observed and celebrated internationally on the 10th of December every year. In order to spread human rights literacy among various sections of the society and to promote awareness of safegaurds available for the protection of human rights. Government of  Kerala decided to observe Human Rights Day in all government departments, Educational Institutions, Aided institutions, Local self government institutions and other organisations by taking Human Rights Oath by all. The govt also gave direction to all institutions and departments to organise various programmes to celebrate the day.
 
As part of this the Principal, teachers and students of GCTE took the oath in unison which Maria read out. The event took place on 9th December at 11 am in the General Hall. As per the oath, and as citizens of India we pledged to obey the constitution and to safeguard and protect the rights of those who are downtrodden in many ways. We also extended our faith in Human rights by taking the oath.
