December 1 is celebrated as World Aids Day. On this day people all over the world unite in the fight against the deadly HIV, to support those who have contracted HIV. Founded in 1988 Worlds Aids Day is the first ever global health day. Despite the virus only being identified in 1984, more than 35 million people have died if HIV, makjng it one of the most destructive pandemic in history. Even while HIV continues to be a serious public health concern that affects millions of individuals globally, the global HIV response is at risk. Numerous lives are at stake as a result of the recent stagnation in HIV objective progress and resource depletion. HIV became and continues to be a global health epidemic due to a number of shortcomings, including division, inequality, and contempt for human rights. We can jointly address the disparities that trigger the AIDS pandemic.
On World AIDS Day 2022 UNAIDS appeals to all of us to face the injustices that deter the fight to eradicate AIDS. The theme "Equalize" is a call to action. After protests from his fellow players, he retired again for four years, but returned in 1996, at age 36, to play 32 games for the Lakers before retiring for the third and final time. This story was really inspirational. As a token of our love, the Principal gave a momento to the resource person Ms. Subathira S, Skill Lab Trainer from Training Institute,Thycaud.
An expert talk on "Let's Stop HIV Together" was delivered by the resource person using white board and powerpoint presentation. She gave insight about the disease AIDS and causative virus HIV. She made us aware of the spread of the RNA virus and the available medicines used to cure the affected. She deconstructed the stigmatisation and ostracisation of HIV infected people in an appealing and scientific manner. The event came to an end with Ms.Revathy delivering the vote of thanks.
