PHASE 2 - DAY 9

On 24-06-2024, I had only one period at 8 B. I was able to continue with the chapter "The Boy who Drew Cats". Since it was a Monday, learners said that they forgot to do the word of the day activity and so I gave them the same word again. I also found that the students of 8B were very energetic and they showed much eagernes to know the rest of the story. Due to time constrains the teacher gave only one minute for silent reading and Shilpa complained to me about the same. Learners were much pleased to see the activity card which I prepared for Conversation completion. The appreciation the teacher received from the students made her contended. I found it bit difficult to manage the class while the learners engaged in discourse. Teacher decided to do the repeated reading, the next day onwards.

As part of the B.Ed curriculum, the second year B.Ed students of GCTE went for a field trip on 26 September 2023. This field trip was included in the community based practical programme of the second semester syllabus. The purpose of the field trip is usually for observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities. The department of English, Hindi, Tamil, Social Science and Sanskrit decided to go to Neyyar Dam, Kottoor Elephant Rehabilitation Centre and Koyikal palace. Going in an unpredictable way, this world cup drags the football lovers all over the world on the brink of suspense by offering breathtaking performances. Whole world is celebrating this world cup by organising various activities. As part of celebrating the world cup the Physical Education department of GCTE organised a Prediction C ontest on 25 November 2022 . All teaching and non teaching staffs, students of first and second year B.Ed actively participated in the contest.  Participants were asked to predict the four semi finalist teams, two finalist teams and the winning team of Qatar 2022 World cup. On January 25, National Voters Day is observed to commemorate the founding day of the Election Commission of India, which was created in 1950.
