PHASE 2 - DAY 27
On 19-07-2024, Friday, 4th hour, I was able to engage 8B students and we were able to continue with the chapter A Shqwrecked Ballor Learners shaved, great Interest to know the story even though they were somewhat confused about the names of the characters. Learner found many difficult words and the teacher found that a small white board war not enough. I also realbed that they weu very interested to learn words through videos and images, but situatiera teaching was somewhat uninteresting for them. Teacher took the word vansh and gigantic as the word of the day.
I found that even after conveying the meaning of the new words, learners struggle with the pronunciation of some words. Many students don't even try to spell the words. Teacher found this very difficult. I also understood their reluctance to leain a new word, since There were many. The learners found the comprehension questions easier and they wen able to answer all them I realised that their explanation skill was not improving as their inhibition to speak in the classroom was very high.
The activity of writing telephonic conver- sation was done group wise. I realised the leadership skill of Yasodha as she co-ordinates everyone I found the ir script to be very serious where as Sivani's group presented it in a comic way, which the teacher corrected. The reluctance and inhibition of the learners to speak and write au the major issues in almost all students. Overall the class went good.
