PHASE 2 -DAY 17
On 04-07-2024, Thursday, 7th hour, I engaged 9C. We were able to discuss the paragraphs 5 and 6 of the story "The Toilet. After checking their previous knowledge, the teacher read the passages two times as usual. But when enquired about the new words, Lavanya replied that she was unable to read the word. The teacher felt really helpless when she pointed the word. Teacher understood that the repetition of words and phrases are very essential for re collecting them in memory. So the teachu decided to give repeated pronunciation drills of all the new words.
During the loud reading, teached asked the elbow partner of Lavanya to give her a model reading. The teacher then again made her read with guided practice. Teacher understood that even though she utters the correct word, she fears whether they are right or wrong I also found that Lavanya had a tendency to skip words, when the same sounded words appear near.
On this day, the teacher was able to administer her 5th intervention as part of her attempt to improve the writing skill of the children using information transfer practice. The topic I chose today was "Benefits of Laughter". this created a laughter -mania in the class as the leainers were experimenting with it. the teacher was able to manage the class. Teacher realised that with the advancement of days, the number of students who attempts the discourse individually increases. The teacher gave necessary corrections to them and the class went good with the co-operation of the leaners.
