PHASE 2- DAY 10

On 25-06-2024, Tuesday, 2nd hour, I engaged IXC students. I was able to discuss paragraphs 3-5 of "Dreams Realised." Teacher selected the word 'delight' as the word of the day. Based on the analysis and self reflection of the teacher, I decided to stop my walking while doing teacher reading. One reason for this is the loss of students attention and eye span from the text to the teacher and the second reason for the same is the feeling of the teacher that she might fall when walking backwards. I was able to feel that 9C was improving day by day. They were able to recollect even the toughest thoughts expressed in the chapter. This made the teacher happy and wonder as to whether they have changed to get good marks or their love towards the teacher made them learn. One practical difficulty I found in the class was regarding loud reading. Since I was afraid that I won't get enough time to do my intervention, I decided to limit the number of students who read in each class.

I chose the topic "Importance of Books" as my second intervention. Teacher decided to select the topics ranging from simple to Complex. During the guided practice, I was able to realise that some students who excel in studies were ahead of the teacher. Nithya and Swathy tried to do it by themselves and this motivated the teacher to improve others with more effort. The teacher was also happy to see that even though the learners were taking/doing the discourse in a light hearted way, everyone of them were following the guided practice given by the teacher. The day went good with the co-operation of the learners.
