PHASE 2 - DAY 5

On 18-06-2024, Tuesday, 2nd hour I was able to discuss the remaining stanzas of the poem "Nothing Twice" with 9 C. Since many students were absent on the previous day, the teacher made Angel to summarise the poem for everyone. Teacher found her initiativ "Word of the Day" to be a total success and the winner of the first day was Aishwarya J S who wrote 15 more sentences than Nithya. She also selected the word fleeting for the next day Teacher found the learnus difficully to create sentences with that word, but the teachu encouraged them to take it as a challenge.During the comprehension session teacher was able to understand the struggles of the learners to fully express the philosophica ideas in the poem. Many students even complained the teacher that the textbook and the ideas are really hard. The teacher hence decided to simplify it more and more somehow. 

Teacher gave match the following activity to them based on imageries 9C never forgets to make the teacher happy! They actively recollected all the imageries teacher taught yesterday. On this day the teacher decided to make hea methodology mere suitable and interesting for the intellectual capacity of a normal 9th standard student. She also understood that she needs to do a lot of ground work for the same. During the break time, many of my former 9A students came running to me and asked my whereabouts. They were eager to know if I have classes with them, but sadly I donot. This made the teacher realise that they love her and value her presence.

As part of the B.Ed curriculum, the second year B.Ed students of GCTE went for a field trip on 26 September 2023. This field trip was included in the community based practical programme of the second semester syllabus. The purpose of the field trip is usually for observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities. The department of English, Hindi, Tamil, Social Science and Sanskrit decided to go to Neyyar Dam, Kottoor Elephant Rehabilitation Centre and Koyikal palace. Going in an unpredictable way, this world cup drags the football lovers all over the world on the brink of suspense by offering breathtaking performances. Whole world is celebrating this world cup by organising various activities. As part of celebrating the world cup the Physical Education department of GCTE organised a Prediction C ontest on 25 November 2022 . All teaching and non teaching staffs, students of first and second year B.Ed actively participated in the contest.  Participants were asked to predict the four semi finalist teams, two finalist teams and the winning team of Qatar 2022 World cup. On January 25, National Voters Day is observed to commemorate the founding day of the Election Commission of India, which was created in 1950. The first National Voters Day was observed on January 25, 2011, and ever since then, it has been observed on January 25 with a particular theme. This year will mark the 12th annual National Voters’ Day in 2023.  The National Voters Day 2023 celebration is done by the Indian government as a way to inspire young people to get involved in politics.
