PHASE 1- Day 14

On 13-11-2023, Monday, 5th hour I got a session with 9A students. But to my disappointment Nimmy teacher was on leave and according to her instructions, I had to start "The Last Leaf" with them. This was really a struggle for me as I wrote the lesson plan of the chapter "The Trio". I was totally helpless other than to obey the teacher. I asked them about the importance about arts and made a smooth transition into the chapter. Loud reading was conducted as drilling and during loud reading, the teacher identified their improvement in word recognition. Since I was familiar with the chapter I took the class with ease. Tr also noticed that the students showed a kind of eagerness and excitement when I explained the term 'Bohemian. Though I was very much frustrated with the sudden change the class went good with the participation of students. 

During the 7th hour I engaged 8 B students with the remaining passages of the chapter "A Day in the Country". teacher understood that the students took much fascination in the activity (match the following) which she prepared for them. Overall, the class went well.

As part of the B.Ed curriculum, the second year B.Ed students of GCTE went for a field trip on 26 September 2023. This field trip was included in the community based practical programme of the second semester syllabus. The purpose of the field trip is usually for observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities. Whole world is celebrating this world cup by organising various activities. As part of celebrating the world cup the Physical Education department of GCTE organised a Prediction C ontest on 25 November 2022 . All teaching and non teaching staffs, students of first and second year B.Ed actively participated in the contest.  Participants were asked to predict the four semi finalist teams, two finalist teams and the winning team of Qatar 2022 World cup. On January 25, National Voters Day is observed to commemorate the founding day of the Election Commission of India, which was created in 1950.
